Tourist Complex Bukovel is located near the mountain with the same name in the village of Palyanitsya, 110 km from Ivano-Frankivsk. Its name comes from the name of (the) mountain 1,129 meters high, where this sky resort is located.
Touristic zone, where the complex is located, is unique in its natural and climate conditions. The mountains, which seemed surrounded Bukovel “from all sides, close it from cold winter winds, which creates comfortable conditions for recreation.
Due to the favorable location and its unique climatic conditions in Bukovel snow falls early and in large quantities, which, combined with a sound and effective work of the pollination of snow and piste preparation provides an excellent snow cover that persists from November to mid-May.
Ski runs are laid on specially prepared slopes with grassy basis. All the tracks are equipped with snow cannons and protected from direct sunlight, and that keeps snow much longer than in other places. Lighting slopes allow ski in the evening period. Now function three lift with total length of 4200 meters, 5 ski slopes of varying complexity total length of 9400 m, 25 two-storeyed comfortable cottages with 300 seats. Among all descents, and them in Bukovel are - 61: 12 blue (for beginners), 41 red (medium difficulty) and 8 black (for professionals). The longest descent is 5G for 2 kilometers.
